This site does not know who you are, and is not built to find out.
No accounts. No sign-up. No newsletter box. No analytics, no tag manager, no tracking pixel. No cookies, and nothing written to your browser's storage. There is no form anywhere on this site, so there is nothing for you to fill in and nothing for us to keep.
That is not a promise about the future written vaguely enough to survive breaking it. It is a description of how the site is built today, and if it stops being true this page changes with it.
The one thing that is counted
When you click a download button, the link goes through this site before it forwards you on, and a counter for that file goes up by one. That is the whole record: a number per file — how many times the Psalm 23 kit has been downloaded, and nothing else. It is not tied to you, because nothing about you is stored alongside it. There is no cookie, no script and no third-party beacon involved; the counting happens on the server as it hands you the redirect.
It exists to answer one question — is anyone actually using these? — which decides what gets made next. Requests that look like bots are left out of the count so the number means something. That check reads two things your browser sends with the request: its user-agent, and the address of the page the link was clicked from — which is how a real click here is told apart from a crawler fetching the link on its own. Both are read in the moment and thrown away; neither is stored, logged or attached to the count. All that is kept is the number.
What your browser contacts
Loading any page on the internet means your browser makes requests, and whoever answers them sees that they happened. On this site that is:
- Cloudflare — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, time, which file was asked for) as any web host does. Those are Cloudflare's, retained under their policy, and are not read or exported by us.
- Google Fonts — the two typefaces this page uses are served by
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com, so Google sees the request your browser makes for them, including your IP address. - Google Drive — every download button is a redirect to Google Drive, where the files are hosted. Once you follow it you are on Google's servers and Google's privacy policy applies, not this one.
Links out to Spotify, Apple Music, DistroKid, Suno, YouTube and the rest are ordinary links. Following one puts you on their site under their terms, and we learn nothing about whether you did.
If you email
The address on this site, help@douglasyates.rocks, forwards to a personal mailbox. If you write, that email is kept the way email is kept — it sits in an inbox. It is not added to any list, and there is no list to add it to. Ask for it to be deleted and it will be.
Children
This site is aimed at churches, worship leaders and musicians generally. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing held about a child either.
Your rights
Rules like the GDPR and CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal data a site holds about you. Here that is straightforward: there isn't any, unless you have emailed, in which case it is that email. Write to help@douglasyates.rocks and it will be dealt with.
Nothing is sold or shared, because there is nothing to sell or share.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top of the page changes. There is no mailing list to notify, which is rather the point.
